EQUIP Members Receive Funding to Address Family Violence

The Canadian government recently announced new funding to address family violence, totalling $100 million to be distributed over the next 10 years. Read more about this funding initiative here.

EQUIP team members Nadine Wathen, Marilyn Ford-Gilboe, and Colleen Varcoe are proud to be part of the first project funded through this initiative, as part of their work with the Preventing Violence Across the Lifespan (PreVAiL) Research Network (www.prevailresearch.ca). The newly-funded project – Development of Pan-Canadian Public Health Guidance on Family Violence – will develop educational materials and approaches to better support victims of family violence. Learn more on PreVAiL’s website.
