We are pleased to announce that Alycia Fridkin will be featured in our first Researcher Spotlight.
Alycia Fridkin is a social justice-oriented health researcher whose goals are to address health inequities through critical approaches to policy. She is currently completing a PhD in the Interdisciplinary Studies Graduate Program at the University of British Columbia with a research focus on the meaningful involvement of urban Indigenous people in health policy decision-making. In addition to working as a researcher with CRiHHI, Alycia’s additional research and professional activities include doing policy research with an Intersectionality Policy Group at Simon Fraser University as well as acting as Student Director with the Canadian Public Health Association Board of Directors. Alycia lives in the beautiful West End of Vancouver with her partner, nephew and two cats. In her free time she enjoys doing community programming with her housing co-op and with her small, progressive synagogue in the East End.
We are pleased to have her as part of our team.
