Knowledge Mobilization to Promote Mental Health and Substance Use
Health of Those Most Affected By the COVID-19 Pandemic
This project is mobilizing the EQUIP Equity Action Kit, which includes learning resources, action-oriented and point-of-care tools, and online modules to support service providers and organizations to bring an equity lens to health care and social services. Equity-oriented care resources focusing on mental health and substance use health will be shared through a media campaign, an online “Showcase Event”, and a webinar to engage diverse service providers and educators across Canada. To make the EQUIP resources as accessible as possible to diverse audiences, including Francophone contexts, EQUIP undertook a community-engaged process to translate and adapt EQUIP resources to French and Francophone service contexts. Collectively, these activities aim to support capacity for equity-oriented care and promote equity in mental health and substance use health for people most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and by health and social inequities.
