This free e-learning course (coming soon!) is intended to help staff in the gender-based violence (GBV) service sector, and others supporting GBV survivors, to understand and apply the principles of trauma- and violence-informed care (TVIC) when providing residential and outreach services.
The Doing Hard Things Together: TVIC to Support GBV Survivors course covers the 4 principles of TVIC, with embedded videos, case-based activities, interactive quizzes, and links to further resources throughout. After completing the final scenario, learners will be provided with a Certificate of Completion.
We thank the Public Health Agency of Canada for financial contributions to this project under the Preventing and Addressing Family Violence: The Health Perspective initiative and through the support of the University of British Columbia and Western University.
